Let Me Tell You Why I Am Awesome…
Do you know that, every day, I have at least 3 people ask for my autograph?!?!? Sometimes it is around 5 or 6!!!
NO, I’m not lying!! Though… the people asking me for signatures are usually the UPS and Fed-Ex men, I occasionally get asked by the guy delivering the water or the one picking up our shred containers! Ok so I just happen to work at the front desk of my company and that is part of my job, I still feel special so don’t rain on my parade!
I truly am AWESOME!
God made me and He made me completely different from anyone else. I have talents that others don’t have (I can still do the splits being 37 years old and about 30 pounds overweight). Of course my entire family is musically inclined with the ability to play numerous instruments and I cannot even sing in the right key (trust me, my daughter tells me all the time) but I have the privilege of having VIP access to hear them whenever I want! Yes, I was a college drop out at 19 but here I am now, an elderly college student maintaining a 4.0 GPA!!!
Yes, I have struggled with anxiety and panic attacks for most of my life but that has enabled me to be there for others when they were unsure about what was happening to them or what to do about it. Yes I am only 5’ tall, (ok, ok 4’ 11”) with both of my kids being taller than me but that is one thing that sets me apart from others. It is the first thing that people notice about me and it is what people remember about me.
I am fun size!
Yes I am a recovering shopaholic but that is what led me to seek freedom from debt, and begin writing this blog, in which I discovered that I am a pretty decent writer. What’s my point?
When you stop and view things from a positive perspective, things you might have seen as flaws become qualities.
I spent too many years chasing after others talents instead of recognizing my own!!!
We are all awesome in some way or really every way. Even our characteristics, that we have often wanted to change, still are an ingredient in our individual design. If we would just alter the way that we look at things, we could see how truly special and blessed we are.
No Matter What Life Throws at You
You might find yourself living in a tiny house with no room to put anything but if you rearrange your thoughts you will see that by living in a small house you are closer to your family members. There is no going down different halls, and never being seen. You might be struggling financially, but that road may lead to better financial knowledge or a more compassionate heart towards others in the same boat a few years from now. There is always good in everything, you just have to choose to see it!
And if all else fails…have a donut!!!
Embrace every characteristic as a positive one,
Tell me ways that you are awesome!!!!
