Why is everyone so angry ALL the time????
I woke up this morning (my favorite time of day) and I sat in bed drinking my coffee and reading through Facebook posts. There was so much negativity…politics, racism, shootings, and just angry venting!!!! I had to get off. I don’t care about “so and so” having an affair with your nephews cousin who was in prison.
Heck no…these people were not going to rain on my parade!
I finished my morning routine and headed to drop my daughter off at school and get to work. On the way, the car behind me was obviously frustrated that I was going the SPEED LIMIT… IN A SCHOOL ZONE!! She proceeded to speed around me the first chance she got.
While dropping my daughter off, I got honked at! Apparently I should have just slowed down, pushed her out of the door, and continued on my merry way. NO TIME FOR “I love you and have a good day.”
Now…don’t get me wrong, there are those people in the drop off line that are still getting ready, finishing their breakfast, parking in the middle of the road to get the project out of the trunk and then hugging their little one good-bye like they are never going to see them again…that’s not me. I am always prepared to do a quick drop off…excuse me for thinking a complete stop is acceptable.
I made it to work with my good mood still intact. I was browsing the internet for an article that I had come across on Pinterest when I came across an article that caught my eye. After reading through the first few paragraphs of a hateful argument, I closed the window. I was very disappointed in myself for even visiting this page!
My husband picked me up for lunch and as we were driving home, I witnessed a man hanging halfway out of his truck window screaming at the car in front of him to @$%^@% GO!!!!
When I got off work, we went to my daughter’s volleyball game in which I was appalled by the crowd’s behavior. Adults were yelling at the precious little girls. COME ON PEOPLE…THIS IS JUNIOR HIGH!!!
We live in America, the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave!!!
We are a very blessed nation, yet there is so much hatred and anger!!!
Seriously people!!! Do you not see how blessed we are? Are we so fortunate in life that boredom is pushing us to fight with one another constantly and get mad and upset over the littlest things?
Race against race, religion against religion, democrats against republicans
We are a nation that is fueled by self-absorption, impatience and OPINIONS.
Yes those opinions are our freedom according to the US Constitution.
This freedom has gone full circle…we have the freedom to express our opinions which people have taken to the extreme. The opinions that are being so freely articulated are not always thought out before they are expressed. People give their opinions with no regard to others. This opens the door to opinion retaliation which initiates a continuous resentful, bitter, angry cycle which has led to a bitter and angry world.
No one wants to take responsibility for their own actions. We have become a nation that is full of “VICTIMS”
I try to stick to rainbows and butterflies in my posts because this world has enough negativity but enough is enough!
Why are bathroom issues a nationwide debate…do we seriously not have anything better to talk about and spread all over the news? At least we have indoor plumbing. Some countries have no bathrooms at all!
People are too consumed with what they DON’T have that they are not even enjoying what they do have.
We can’t change other’s behavior but we can change how we act and react.
Don’t let the diverse opinions and actions of your surroundings steal your joy!!! And… on the other hand, evaluate your own opinions before releasing them to negatively affect others.
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” Ephesians 4:29
“Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21
“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” Proverbs 15:1
“But the tongue can no man tame; an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.” James 3:8
Yes… we all lead very busy hectic lives but honestly, the reason that you are going to be late today is not because I am taking too much time in the drop off line. It is because you were already running late because of your own actions (trust me, I know about running late), yet chose to push the blame off on someone else.
Instead of pointing our fingers at others we need to take a long look at ourselves and our own actions. If everyone would make an attempt to watch what they say and to look at and focus on the positive aspects of life, we could literally change the world.
I challenge you to infiltrate this mad world with positivity!!!!
